Our History 

Cheri Buys Houses is run by Cheri and her husband Mike, who are firmly rooted in the St. Louis area and have built a successful business acquiring, renovating, and selling houses in the places they know best – their hometown! From that intimate knowledge of the city comes a unique advantage to those looking for assistance from our team. How we got started

I started my business in 2019 after a long career as a call center manager. I wanted to do something different and finally own my own business. A friend who was flipping houses suggested I check it out, and I decided to give it a try.

I bought my first house from someone who wanted to sell quickly without the hassle of cleaning out the property. My next house came from someone who needed to sell but wanted to stay in the home for a couple of months after the sale while getting her finances in order to move out of town.

I loved helping these families while also helping the people who bought the homes after we rehabbed them! It has been so rewarding to support both the sellers and the buyers. Since starting, we’ve helped over 100 people with their houses.
